Yves Saint Laurent Resort 2010

Yves Saint Laurent showed its 2010 resort collection fashion's best in New York City. Stefano Pilati, creative director for YSL, who was inspired by the heritage of the house’s late founder, brought back a lot more color, voluminous sleeves and even cropped ankle length pants. Said to be inspiried by seashells, rich hues and prints were worked in voluptuous shapes and volumes. The collection was light, free, and most of all refreshing. The jewelery was bold, seen in semi-precious stones and seashells.

YSL "Elle Shocking" Fragrance Ad Campaign

Photographed by Terry Richardson, Anna Selezneva is the face of the YSL "Elle Shocking" fragrance ad campaign. Both in video and print advertising. Although I disliked Selezneva at first, I've grown quite fond of her. Coming from the Russian Federation, Anna Selezneva is one of the most sought after models from the pack of newcomers.

watch her looking incredibly gorgeous, here's the video campaign below:

PFW: Yves Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2009

Designer Stefano Pilati presented an ultrachick and sultry collection at Yves Saint Laurent this fall. The show began with jackets, coats, and pants, done in leather and plenty of it. One particular version of a coat was low-belted and had a studded collar. Also seen in the collection was a short skirt, topped with a masculine jacket. Coats were seen with detailed cuts, like the square arch into the hem of a gray quilted coat. White shirts were added volume at the sleeves or the neck, full-cut pants were chopped off just below the knees. The collection as a whole was elegant but also consisted a sense of strength and toughness.
